This Information Security Policy ("Policy") is entered into by and between Makita Corporation (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") and its stakeholders. The Company recognizes that the management of information assets is an essential element in contributing to the development and safety of maritime transportation, which is at the core of our corporate mission. We understand that achieving proper and secure management requires not only the protection of information entrusted to us by other companies and information owned by the Company but also efforts to ensure information security throughout the entire supply chain. With this understanding, the Company positions information security as one of its key strategic initiatives and strives, together with affiliated companies and the local community, to contribute to the realization of a secure information society.

  1. Information Security Management Structure
    The Company has established an organization to maintain and improve information security, and has formulated various regulations. Through appropriate operation of these measures, we are committed to the secure management of information assets.
  2. Protection of Information Assets
    The Company recognizes the importance and risks associated with the information assets it possesses and manages them appropriately.
  3. Implementation of Education and Awareness
    To create an organization where individuals understand the information assets they must protect and can act with awareness of information security, the Company provides ongoing information security education to all executives and employees, including the dissemination of this Policy and various regulations, as well as periodic reminders.
  4. Compliance with Laws and Contracts
    The Company complies with applicable laws, regulations, standards, and contractual requirements related to information security.
  5. Response to Violations and Incidents
    The Company establishes clear response procedures in the event of violations of laws, breaches of contracts, or information security incidents. In the event of such occurrences, we will minimize the impact and undertake efforts to investigate the causes and prevent recurrence.
  6. Continuous Improvement of Measures
    The Company conducts periodic reviews of this Policy, related regulations, and guidelines, and evaluates the implementation status of information security measures. We strive for the continuous improvement of information security.
